Croatia Vs Italy Referee

Who is the Referee for Croatia vs Italy at Euro 2024?

Match Official for Monday's Group B Encounter

Danny Makkelie to Take Charge in Munich

Dutch referee Danny Makkelie has been selected to officiate the crucial Group B match between Croatia and Italy at UEFA EURO 2024 on Monday. The highly experienced official, who recently refereed Germany's 2-0 victory over Portugal, will be assisted by compatriots Hessel Steegstra and Jan de Vries.

Makkelie, 38, is one of the most respected referees in Europe and has overseen some of the continent's biggest matches in recent years. He was the man in charge of the 2021 UEFA Champions League final between Manchester City and Chelsea and has also officiated at two previous European Championships.

The Croatia vs Italy clash is set to be a fascinating encounter, with both teams looking to secure their first win of the tournament. Croatia, led by their evergreen captain Luka Modric, have had a disappointing start to Euro 2024, losing their opening match to England. Italy, on the other hand, played out a 1-1 draw against Spain in their first game.

The match will take place at the Allianz Arena in Munich on Monday, June 23, at 21:00 CET. It will be broadcast live on UEFA.tv and on various television channels around the world.
